Shenzhen Airport Imported Red Coral for the First Time

Recently, Shenzhen Airport CIQ released a batch of imported red coral after a fast inspection. The involving red coral was 5 kgs, with a total value of 900 us dollars. Originated from Taiwan, this shipment was shipped by international courier and entered China via Shenzhen airport. The red coral is mainly used for ornament process. Recently,Shenzhen CIQ detected that a batch of concentrated cherry juice from USA imported through Qianhai Bonded Zone contained exceeding microbial counts. This shipment was weighted 4.5 tons, with a total value of 18900 usds. Previously, Shenzhen CIQ detected a shipment with same products imported by same import had exceeding microbial counts. Shenzhen Shekou Port Unveiled The Disguise of Unqualified Imported Tiles

Recently, Shenzhen Shekou CIQ, when conducting field inspection on a batch of imported tiles,  found the CCC mark of these tiles did not meet regulated requirements and models of part of the goods did not conform to CCC certificate. It seemed that the importer was trying to import commodities that did not hold CCC certification under disguise. This was the first time Shekou CIQ intercepted and captured CCC unqualified imported tiles. At present, Shekou CIQ has required the importer to modify the unqualified CCC marks, and has destroyed the tiles whose models do not conform to the provided CCC certificates.

It is reported that these tiles are from Italy. The declared commodity names are polished tiles and glazed tiles. In the field inspection, Shekou CIQ found that the CCC mark on the external package looked no difference from qualified CCC mark at first glance. But by looking closely, it was found that the CCC marks were printed onto papers and then pasted onto the external package, which does not conform to the CCC regulation that CCC marks shall be labeled with laser anti-fake marking or be printed or mould pressed onto external package.  CCC mark is the uniform mark required by our country’s compulsory product certification scheme.Products within CCC catalog scope but without qualified CCC mark may not obtain CCC approval and thus may post threats to our country’s environment production and human safety.  At present, Shekou CIQ has taken isolation measures against these tiles. And based on the fact that A class radioactivity level in GB6566 applies to this kind of tiles, Shekou CIQ did radioactivity test on this batch of cargoes, and no exceeding radioactivity was found.

CIR reminds tiles importers to choose suppliers of good credit when importing tile products. Before signing purchase contract, suppliers shall know tile quality well and do some research, and do sampling test when necessary. Plus, it is important to add quality terms, domestic CCC certification and marking requirements in the purchase contract. For new variety of tiles, the CCC certification and marking labeling shall be done before import. Never take chance, in hope of muddling through.

Shenzhen Port Returned Imported Jewelry with Exceeding Nickel

Recently, Shenzhen CIQ found that Nickel Release  of an imported health wristband sample from Korea reached 0.80μg/cm2/week, exceeding our country’s compulsory standard which regulates nickel release of mental products that contact human body for  a long time  should be less than 0.5μg/cm2/week. For that, Shenzheng Huanggang CIQ has ordered to returned this batch of cargo.

It is known that nickel is a potential sensitization elements. The anaphylaxis triggered by jewelry containing nickel has become a common problem in jewelry industry. This anaphylaxis is also known as jewelry illness. The patients with lighter symptom only show nick anaphylaxis at the skin parts that have direct contact with jewelry, while patients with serious symptoms will have anaphylaxis all over the body. And once one hows nickel anaphylaxis, it may have anaphylaxis reaction the rest of his life.

The main reasons causes exceeding nickel contained in  imported imitation jewelry with exceeding nickel. Firstly, jewelry importers are price-oriented, style-oriented and design-oriented when purchasing in international market, and neglect the inner quality of products. Secondly, the test standards of imitation jewelry of trade countries are different for those of China. Thirdly, the foreign jewelry manufacturers fail to do strict control over raw materials, and use poor-quality materials in production, and the electroplate liquid is not up to relevant standards, which all lead to exceeding nickel release in the electroplated layer of imitation jewelry.
